Marvel Adventures is a comic book that is marketed to children, which is a pity, because it's great fun for us adults too. If the Marvel 616 verse gets you down with its decompressed art (six panels of the same picture!), heroes who are much more on the side of bad than good. Or if Marvel Ultimate verse is a bit too... crass for your sensitive tastes, please give this comic a try. Ably written by Leonard kirk, there's enough laughs to amuse even the most dour fan. The line up for Marvel Adventures: Avengers include : Storm, Hulk, Wolverine, Spider man, Captain America, Iron man and Giant Girl. There's the odd guest star (such as Hawkeye, who's on the cover), who comes in and shakes up things a notch. To say more would spoil, but there's plenty to recommend Marvel Adventures to anyone : good writing, snappy dialogue, heroes who are HEROES, pretty art, exciting panels. Because it's also a digest, you get about four to five stories in a good clip, and it will keep anyone occupied for at least an hour. Look at the drawings! The fights! Laugh at the jokes!
