I hate it when I buy a graphic novel, then find I don't like the style of the artwork, so I hope this will give you some idea whether this book is for you or not. Personally I like the artwork a lot. I would describe it as mid-way between manga and a more Western style... or maybe tending more towards the Western. Anyway, I like it!
The book is a nice hardback, and tells the whole of Carroll's Wonderland and Looking-glass stories. The paper is high quality and glossy.
After the story, there's a short section of text extras:
THE POETRY OF WONDERLAND - 4 poems: All in the Golden Afternoon; She's all my Fancy Painted Him; A Child of pure unclouded brow; and A Boat beneath a Sunny Sky.
WITHER AND WHY THIS WIG-WEARING WASP? - a short discussion on why & how they decided to include this 'lost' chapter.
THE WASP IN THE WIG - the 'lost' chapter as written by Carroll.
CREATING WONDERLAND - a discussion on adapting the text to graphic format
THE WORKINGS OF WONDERLAND - an interview with the people behind this version.
All in all, very nicely done and a MUST for any devoted collector of Wonderland stuff!
